Overcoming uncertainty was one thing Dan and Fionnuala knew well during their wedding planning.

Dan’s rare lung condition diagnosis and subsequent lung transplant put a hold on their wedding planning. After so much uncertainty, one of the first things Dan said after his operation was, ‘Book Hedsor – let’s finally get married!’

On the Big Day itself, both Dan and Fionnuala surprised themselves with how emotional they were. “The day was a very emotional one for Dan, who had to fight against all the odds to be standing up there at the altar and I think it was that day he really had his first reality check as to what we’ve been through and how much he’d gone through to be there.”
